The aim of the element “Lean TPM Administration” is, like in the production, to eliminate losses and waste. Because the administration dept. in many companies presents a big cost factor, the potential for Lean TPM is often very high. Especially, when you consider that in the production processes, optimizing methods like i.e, REFA have been used for almost 100 years.

To find losses (Muda) in the administrative areas, it is necessary for the pertinent key performance indicators for

to generate and with the use of losses structures and improvement potentials can be visualized. The use of tools like i.e. 5S, Makigami, or Process- Mapping can be used.
